We had a great first chapel service of the year!  We will continue to have students serve as "acolytes" this year.  Acolytes help Mrs. Breed and Chaplain Woodling light the altar candles at the beginning of the service. 

Mrs. Deupree taught us a couple of new songs and we talked about what it means to get ready to meet with God each week in chapel.  Ask your child about what we do in the special place that we call the sanctuary: we walk more slowly, we bow to the cross above the altar, we speak more softly, we greet one another in special ways, we talk to God through prayer and songs, and we listen to the stories of God. 

Parents, you are all welcome to join us in chapel on Monday mornings. We meet at 9:30 in the St. Martin's church sanctuary. Please consider coming to a service this year!
